Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 2.5 lb Yukon potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 6 oz gruyere grated

Steps

1) Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray with oil a 2 quart baking dish 2) Peel the potatoes and slice into 1/8 inch thick slices 3) In a pot combine cream, milk, garlic, and thyme, season with salt and pepper. Add the potatoes and heat to boil. Reduce heat and shimmer for 5 min 4) Snoop half of the mixture into the greased baking dish and too with half of the gruyere. Repeat the layering. Bake for 50-60 min
