Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 24 oz halibut steaks or other white fish
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon
  • 1.5 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 oz shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 bunch of fresh asparagus cut in 1.5" pieces
  • 1 large leek
  • 2 cups shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Steps

1) add salt to halibut, and in a skillet fry with oil until crispy 2) Combine in a bowl, the garlic, ginger, broth, soy sauce, honey, lemon and corn starch 3) in another skillet with oil, cook asparagus, shiitake, leeks and carrots for 5 minutes or until soft 4) Add bowl to skillet with vegetables, and boil for 1 minute, stirring, then remove skillet from heat 5) Serve halibut on top of vegetables
