Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cup sugar
- 11/2 Tbs cornstarch
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 Half & Half
- 2 egg yolks
- 5 1/3oz Evaporated Milk
- 1 cup whipping cream
- Tbs Vanilla
Steps
1) Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, whole milk and half & half in saucepan
2) Stir over medium heat until mixture simmers (180F)
3) Simmer 1 minute over low heat
4) Lightly beat egg yolks
5) Whisk in about 1 cup milk mixture, then stir egg yolk mixture into remaining milk mixture
6) Cook over low heat ~2 minutes until thickened
7) Stir in evaporated milk, whipping cream, and vanilla
8) Cool to room temperature
9) Freeze
