Ingredients

  • 2 cups (1 can) chick peas
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbs minced parsley
  • 2 Tbs water
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • dash of Cayenne
  • 2 Tbs Flour

Steps

1) Combine all but flour in food processor & blend 2) Blend in flour 3) Spray skillet or baking pan with Pam 4) Form the batter with spoon into flattened balls not much bigger than the spoon 5) Bake at 400o for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown 6) Serve 2-3 falafels per half pita pocket with lettuce, tomato, and about a tablespoon of a mixture of plain fat free yogurt, dijon mustard & dill
