Ingredients
- 2 Tbs Butter
- 11/2 cup onion
- 1 cup Carrot
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 lb split peas
- 6 1/2 cup water
- 2 Tbs fresh / 1 tsp dried tarragon
- 1 tsp fresh / 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 tsp Salt
- Pepper
Steps
1) Saute onion & carrot 10 minutes
2) Add garlic - 2 minutes
3) Add peas, water, tarragon, & thyme, cover & simmer 50 minutes (stirring occasionally to keep from burning)
4) Add wine, and continue cooking 10 minutes
