Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 11/2 cup onion
  • 1 cup Carrot
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 lb split peas
  • 6 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbs fresh / 1 tsp dried tarragon
  • 1 tsp fresh / 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Pepper

Steps

1) Saute onion & carrot 10 minutes 2) Add garlic - 2 minutes 3) Add peas, water, tarragon, & thyme, cover & simmer 50 minutes (stirring occasionally to keep from burning) 4) Add wine, and continue cooking 10 minutes
