Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup dry pintos
- 1 cup dry black beans
- 1 chop onion
- 2 celery stalks-chopped
- 4 med. carrot-chopped
- 1/2 cup diced green pepper
- 5 cup hot water
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 Tbs ketsup
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 1 Tbs cider vinegar
- 1 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 14-oz can tomato sauce
Steps
1) Put beans in crock pot 24 hours before serving
2) Cover with 3" how\t tap water
3) Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours
4) Drain beans in colander
5) Combine with all but tomato sauce
6) Cook 10-12 hours on low
7) Add tomato sauce
