Ingredients

  • 1 envelope yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 Tbs margarine (room temp)
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbs sugar
  • 2/3 cup (5 oz) Evaporated Milk
  • 2 1/2 cup flour (up to 1c whole wheat)
  • 3/4 cup raisin
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Steps

1) Sprinkle yeast over water 2) Add 1 tsp sugar, and let stand 5 min 3) Add margarine, salt, sugar, milk, and flour to kneading consistancy 4) Add raisins 5) Knead 6) Let rise until double (2 hr) 7) Mix 1 Tbs sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon 8) Sprinkle half into a greased loaf pan (save rest) 9) Melt butter, and add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon 10) Knead dough, and divide into 24 pieces 11) Spoon 2 Tbs butter mixture into pan 12) Put in 12 dough pieces in a single layer in loaf pan 13) Spoon 2 Tbs butter mixture over 1st layer, then add 2nd layer of dough balls 14) Let rise until double (1 hour) 15) Bake at 350F 40 min 16) Cool 5 min in pan 17) Remove, and brush with remaining butter, then sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar
