Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 63/4-71/2 cup Flour
  • 3 pkg yeast
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbs cinnamon
  • 2 cup finely chopped nuts.
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • Rasins

Steps

1) Heat 3/4 cup water, 3/4 cup milk and 3/4 cup butter to 120F-130F 2) Mix 21/4 cup flour, yeast, 3/4 cup sugar, and salt 3) Add liquid, and beat about 2 minutes 4) Add 1 cup flour and eggs 5) Add remaining 31/2-41/4 cup flour 6) Knead and let rise until doubled - about 1 hour 7) Mix 3 cups sugar, cinnamon, and nuts 8) Punch down dough 9) Roll into 1/2-3/4" balls 10) Put balls into melted butter, then roll into sugar mixture 11) Cover 6 well-greased 1 quart pans with one layer of balls 12) Sprinkle with raisins 13) Cover with 2nd layer 14) Rise until doubled (about 1 hour) 15) Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or less, until barely done
