Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 Tbs Butter
  • 1 cup+2 Tbs warm milk (120F-130F)
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 11/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp dill week
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 1/4-oz pkg yeast
  • 11/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 11/2-2 cup white flour

Steps

1) Saute onion in butter, about 8 min 2) Cool 3) Place in mixing bowl 4) Add milk, sugar, salt, herbs, yeast, whole wheat flour & 11/2 cup white flour 5) Beat then knead untnil smooth 6) Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes 7) Punch down, shape into ball, and place on greased baking sheet 8) Cover and let rise until doubled, 45 min 9) Bake at 375F 25-30 minutes 10) Brush with melted butter
