Ingredients
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 cup white flour, divided
- 1 pkg yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup finely ground pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted margarine
- 11/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 3 Tbs melted margarine
Steps
1) Mix whole wheat flour, 1 cup white flour, yeast, salt & sugar
2) Scald milk and margarine (margarine starts to melt at 120F) Pour into flour mixture
3) Add flour and knead until smooth and elastic
4) Cover and let rise until double - about 1 hour
5) Mix pecans, sugar, and cinnamon
6) Roll out dough into 13x18" rectangle
7) Spread melted butter to edges of 3 sides, and to 1" from edge on 4th long edge
8) Fill will cinnamon sugar, and roll from long filled edge
9) Cut into 12 pieces
10) Rise in large baking pan(s) (10x14" Corning Wear best) until double
11) Bake 25-30 minutes at 350F
12) Mix ingredients for icing
13) Frost while still warm
