Ingredients

  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 Tbs Butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 can corn, drained

Steps

1) Scald milk 2) Stir in cornmeal 3) Reduce heat, and simmer one or two minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened 4) Stir in butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder 5) Add egg yolks one at a time, stirring briskly 6) Add corn 7) Beat egg whites until stiff 8) Fold into hot mixture 9) Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes or until well puffed 10) Use a spoon to serve
